Well, it's official! I am now on the ballot for Select Board in Holbrook for 2024. Thank you so much to everyone who signed my nomination papers, and all my volunteers who helped get us on the ballot. Now the real work begins for the upcoming campaign. I am excited about the future for our town and with your support, we can make real progress on the issues that matter most to our residents.

Hello Holbrook! My name is Zachary Kontra. I am 30 years old, a town meeting member, and a community leader, and I am running for the Select Board of Holbrook in the upcoming 2024 election in April.

I have been a town meeting member since 2022 and was appointed a Diversity and Inclusion Committee member this past year.

I am also the founder and Co-chair of the Holbrook Town Meeting Green Caucus, a collective group of Town Meeting members who share my passion and concern for Holbrook's environment and fight to ensure the residents of Holbrook have clean air, water, and soil that is safe for them and their families.

I am running because our town needs fresh new leaders who will champion transparency in how our town operates. We need leaders who will appoint a diverse pool of people to our committees to ensure our town residents are accurately represented and have a strong, active voice in how our town is governed.

And finally, we need leaders who will ensure the health and safety of our town residents more than anything else. That means we need clean, safe drinking water. Protected green and open spaces to preserve air and soil quality for everyone.

These are the issues I am passionate about and will continue to fight for in the months and years ahead.
