Thank you to all who braved the cold and came out for our campaign launch event yesterday. It was a great and inspiring day for me, and from what I heard of those in attendance, it was for many of you as well. Each of the speakers and everyone in attendance represent a part of the movement we need to build if we are going to have the courage to imagine and the power to transform Maryland.

I know there are many people who are supportive of our grassroots campaign who were unable to attend yesterday, and I am beaming from all the warm words of support that came in throughout the weekend! We will get the video up soon so you can hear all the great speakers! You can check out our launch page which has some great photos and text of my speech here. We will be updating this page throughout the week so check back!

There are three actions coming out of the launch that I want to highlight:

• Sign the petition to tell Maryland Public Television to open up the debates.
• Get involved with the campaign
• Make a donation to hit our goal before January 8th-We still have $1500 to go!

My team and I are going to take a few days to rest after the launch event, then we are going to get back to work! The Maryland General Assembly starts on Wednesday and we will all need to be vigilant about what the two status quo parties are doing. But we can’t stop there, we need to build our campaign and grow the movement so that we can have a Maryland that works for everyone.

I am excited to begin this campaign, thank you for your support, your passion, and your belief in a better future. Let's make history together. Let's build a Maryland that works for everyone.
