EUGENE, Or – The focus of the Pacific Green Party will defined at the convention to be held on Saturday, October 19; but our aim is to focus on statewide races while supporting local races and local chapter strengthening. Strategy for 2020: - 2020 races
- We will run ambitious campaigns for Secretary of State (focus on electoral reform, Corporate “rights” and corporate “personhood”); the US senate (focus on military spending) and Bureau of Labor and Industry. We also plan to run for local local offices
- The goal for 2020 is for one of our statewide candidates to get 5% of the vote - this will allow us to retain the ballot line AND it wields true power as some of the races can be decided by few points.
- Have active locals across the state - particularly in Central, East OR and the coastal areas - able to mobilize greens to support our local allies
