EcoAction Climate Webinar

The EcoAction Committee of the Green Party of the United States held an online webinar on Indigenous People’s Day on Monday, Oct. 11, at 8 PM ET. Ecological Wisdom begins with Indigenous Wisdom! (Register here.)

Because of connection issues, the recording is in two parts.

The next month will be among the most important ever in our effort to prevent climate collapse. President Biden and Congress must agree on the largest climate budget ever – though right now they are planning to slash their proposed $3.5 trillion (over 10 years) green and social economic stimulus, rather than support the much larger ecosocialist Green New Deal proposed by the Greens. Then in early November, the world will gather in Glasgow for COP26 where we need mandatory agreements to slash carbon emissions to keep global warming below 1.5 degree centigrade and dramatically increase climate funding / reparations by the industrial polluter nations to the Global South and developing countries. We will discuss how to join in the November 6 global day of climate action.

From October 11 to 15, the People vs. Fossil Fuels are organizing daily direct actions at the White House and Congress to demand that Biden declare a climate emergency and halt all new fossil fuels. Please participate and promote.
