Final CAIR Poll Shows Statistical Tie Between Jill Stein and Kamala Harris Among Muslim Voters
The Council on American-Islamic Relations released its final 2024 presidential election survey on Friday, showing a statistical tie between Green Party nominee Dr. Jill Stein and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris among Muslim voters.
CAIR, a national Muslim civil rights and advocacy group, has polled Muslim voters multiple times throughout this election cycle, although it did not begin releasing its presidential polling results until August. For this latest survey, CAIR, in collaboration with pollster Molitico, surveyed 1,449 verified Muslim voters from October 30 to October 31. The organization reports a margin of error of 2.5%.

According to the survey, 42.3% of respondents support Green nominee Jill Stein, while 41% back Democratic nominee Kamala Harris. Republican Donald Trump garners 9.8% of respondent support, followed by 5.4% who said they do not plan to vote. Libertarian nominee Chase Oliver and independent candidate Dr. Cornel West earn 0.6% and 0.1%, respectively. The remaining 0.9% of respondents continue to be undecided. Percentages are used as specific vote totals were not provided.
The results show an increase in overall support for both Harris and Stein compared to CAIR’s August survey. However, the two candidates otherwise remain in a statistical tie among Muslim voters. In the earlier survey, Harris held 29.4% support among respondents, with Stein at 29.1%. Support for Trump has also been relatively stable, polling at 11.2% in August and experiencing a slight drop to 9.8% in this latest survey.
Cornel West, however, experienced a substantial decline in support, especially compared to early, unpublished data before President Joe Biden exited the Democratic primary. In that initial poll, partially released along with the August results, West had 25.2% support among Muslim voters. His support subsequently dropped to 4.8% in August and has now reached 0.1% in this latest survey.
