Food Justice, Police Accountability & a new Green Candidate
There is a lot happening in the local Green Party scene in Monroe County!
First of all, if you missed the March monthly meeting on Food Justice, fear not. We have video!
Stay tuned as this conversation is spurring the development of a local platform plank on Food Justice.
Speaking of platform planks. February's monthly meeting on Police Accountability was captured on video:
From that, we developed an extensive platform plank on police accountability that you can read at http://www.gpomc.org/police. Let us know what you think.
The Green Party is serious, but we like to have a little fun as well. How about joining us this Saturday, March 17th for the parade.jpgRochester St. Patrick's Day Parade! Yes, we'll be dressed in Green (as we do on most days), but this year's parade is going to be extra special as one of our own will be announcing his candidacy for office at the parade! Come show a Green running for office some love!
We meet at 11:30am on Saturday somewhere around East Ave & Alexander St downtown. The parade organizers announce the line-up soon, so check back to the website Thursday for the specifics.
Wear green. Dress warm. Bring the kids. Have fun.
