We often hear "Why don't Greens run for local offices?". We are proud to share that many Greens across California do run for local and non-partisan offices in every election and many are elected! Greens currently serve in over 60 public offices in California and they have all won their seats by running grassroots campaigns with PEOPLE POWER and with NO corporate or lobbyist contributions.

Although there are no Santa Clara County Green candidates running in the November election we would love to have your support for these brave Greens who are running for public office across California and hoping to bring to their communities, our values of People, Planet, Peace Over Profit.

Proposition 1- VOTE YES with reservations
SB 3 (Chapter 365, Statutes of 2017), Beall. Veterans and Affordable Housing Bond Act of 2018.
Proposition 2 - VOTE YES with reservations
AB 1827 (Chapter 41, Statutes of 2018). Committee on Budget. No Place Like Home Act of 2018.
Proposition 3 - VOTE NO
Authorizes Bonds to Fund Projects for Water Supply and Quality, Watershed, Fish, Wildlife, Water Conveyance, and Groundwater Sustainability and Storage. Initiative Statute
Proposition 4 - VOTE YES with reservations
Authorizes Bonds Funding Construction at Hospitals Providing Children’s Health Care. Initiative Statute.
Proposition 5 - VOTE NO
Changes Requirements for Certain Property Owners to Transfer Their Property Tax Base to Replacement Property. Initiative Constitutional Amendment and Statute.
Proposition 6 - VOTE NO
Eliminates Recently Enacted Road Repair and Transportation Funding by Repealing Revenues Dedicated for Those Purposes. Requires Any Measure to Enact Certain Vehicle Fuel Taxes and Vehicle Fees Be Submitted to and Approved by the Electorate. Initiative Constitutional Amendment.

Establishes New Standards for Confinement of Certain Farm Animals; Bans Sale of Certain Non-Complying Products. Initiative Statute.

Join the Santa Clara County Greens to serve a nutritious meal to the guests at the HomeFirst Sunnyvale Shelter. We will help with the final preparation of the meal, then distribute plated food to shelter guests, serve beverages, and cleanup. We are honored to serve our community and invite you to share in this fun and rewarding experience.
Please note, there are some requirements for volunteers to be able to serve meals, you will receive details after you RSVP.
Green Party of Santa Clara County Monthly Meeting
Thursday Sept 27th, 7 - 9 pm
Join the Santa Clara County Green Party for our monthly meeting to learn about our plans and activities. We are grassroots activists, environmentalists, advocates for social justice, nonviolent resisters and regular citizens who’ve had enough of corporate-dominated politics. Government must be part of the solution, but when it’s controlled by the 1%, it’s part of the problem.
We are building the Party for the 99% and need your help to bring our message of peace and democracy to our community. Please RSVP.

PLEASE REGISTER GREEN! our democracy needs you, and so does the planet. If you are already registered, make sure your family and friends remember to vote on November 6th and if you vote by mail, look for your mail-in ballot in the mail in early October
