As this year comes to a close, Reverend Chambers and I are spending time reflecting on what from this year we are most thankful for. Of course, near the top of our list are you and all the supporters of our campaign.

Reverend Chambers and I are so thankful that we had the opportunity to give every Marylander another choice for the top office in this state. We will never give up advocating for more and better choices for all elected offices. 11,256 of you voted for us, and we know that millions of Marylanders saw our names on their ballots. Even if they weren't ready to cast a Green ballot for Governor this year, seeing the option will help them get ready to vote Green next time.

We have to keep this momentum going! As proud as we are of our campaign, we couldn't convince enough voters to cast that Green ballot. The Green Party will now have to spend the next two years collecting signatures to qualify for the 2020 ballot. This is a great opportunity to organize a bigger and stronger Green Party, but the ballot access campaign will be long and expensive. Our commitment to building a permanent Green presence in Maryland is not yet done.

Your support will help supply volunteers with the tools they need to collect 10,000 valid signatures of Maryland voters. We need to print petitions, hold trainings to teach volunteers the best way to collect valid signatures, and pay tabling fees at upcoming events. Reverend Chambers and I will be out there ourselves collecting signatures, but we need help!

We have come to count on you to help us fund our campaign. We were able to deliver hundreds of signs and tens of thousands of pieces of literature to Green organizers around the state because of your support. Now we are asking you to help the next Green candidates for Governor and Lt. Governor before they even step up in 2022.
