Watch: Solidarity Not Starvation: Hands Off Cuba

This webinar highlighted the crisis the people of Cuba are experiencing due to the illegal U.S. economic blockade of 67 years which has just been aggravated exponentially by Executive Order 14380 of the President threatening to impose extreme tariffs to any and all countries of the world shipping oil to our peaceful island neighbors despite the likely legal spuriousness of such action.
Blockading oil is being described as causing deliberate famine. This action has been condemned as a serious violation of international law by the United Nations Human Rights experts who warn of an imminent humanitarian collapse disrupting the food supply and essential services such as healthcare and clean water affecting an entire nation. Hunger as a weapon of foreign policy is illegal. Collective punishment to collapse the economy of a sovereign state for regime change in Cuba is illegal and has been condemned by nearly all nations of the world for three decades or more.
The Green Party of the United States and state green parties across the nation such as The Green Party of Florida, situated just 90 miles from our Cuban neighbors, have been clear in our policies and national platform that we stand in solidarity with Cuba against illegal economic warfare by the U.S. government. We have called for our government to remove Cuba from the discredited politically motivated State Dept.’s so-called State Sponsors of Terrorism List.
The webinar held on Wednesday, February 25 featured speakers that gave the Cuban perspective on this barbaric U.S. contrived humanitarian crisis along with stories from Greens and activists across the country working to educate in their communities and the efforts being waged to provide essential goods and solidarity to Cuba.
