Watch: Tearing Down The Wall Between Us

The Green Party US presented a webinar on Tuesday, April 28 on building solidarity with Latin American nations.
The Trump Administration recently has taken aim at Latin America, overthrowing the will of the people. The goal is to topple these governments in an effort to install U.S. friendly puppet regimes and steal these countries’ resources. We’ve seen this in Venezuela, with the kidnapping of their democratically elected President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, the First Combatant Celia Flores, and now in the cruel siege of Cuba with the goal of overturning the revolutionary will of the people. Additionally, Trump has been saber-rattling against sovereign nations like Mexico and Colombia.
The Green Party is the only party in the U.S. that stands in full solidarity with the democratic will of the people of Latin America. How do we continue to build bridges at a time when the U.S. government is trying to blow them apart? In what ways can we best show our support?
In this webinar, we’ll hear from Latin American activists and their allies on how to tear down the walls the U.S. government has erected between us and build a bond that is unbreakable. We’ll also ask for support in building the Green Party, because only with a strong alternative party committed to peace, can we create a future free of fear for all of us.
