The 2026 Green Party Annual National Meeting (ANM) took place in Chicago from Thursday, July 23 through Sunday, July 26!
We were excited to gather in person for the first time since 2019. Hosted this year on the campus of the University of Illinois Chicago. This was an unforgettable, high-energy weekend of solidarity and party-building. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual attendance option was available.
With both major parties at rock-bottom popularity, and people demanding a pro-worker, anti-war, anti-ICE alternative, there couldn't be a better time to come out swinging. The ANM featured powerhouse activists and organizers challenging empire, oligarchy, ICE, data centers, weapons production the obscene $1.5 trillion dollar military budget and more. We shared skills to fight for health care, housing, living wages, jobs, climate survival, union rights and more in our communities, our nation and beyond.
Cam Gordon, former Minneapolis City Council Member, 2006 – 2022 was this year's keynote speaker.
Other speakers included Jill Stein & Butch Ware, Medea Benjamin, Roger Waters, Briahna Joy Gray, Craig Mokhiber and many more to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
The program included workshops, panels, poetry, music, the State of the Party and next steps to build the party to end empire, oligarchy, crushing inequality and the duopoly enabling it all.
