He is the only candidate in New York's 19th District to do so.

Howie Hawkins, the Green Party candidate for Governor, said today that a Green Party member should be appointed to fill the vacancy in the Public Service Commission (PSC).

At its state convention in a Rennselaer church on Saturday, the Green Party of New York designated Howie Hawkins for Governor and Jia Lee for Lieutenant Governor.


On April 23, I will join with hundreds of fellow climate activists at the State Capitol in Albany to tell Governor Cuomo that he needs to walk the talk in taking action to stop climate change.

I am one of many fellow Green Party, 350.org, PAUSE, gas pipeline activists, seniors, students, faith leaders, etc. who have pledged to do civil disobedience at the Capitol.


The Green Party has yet another candidate running in Montgomery County this year after 71-year-old former Navy contractor George Gluck announced he will mount a challenge for the vacant seat in Maryland's 6th Congressional District as a Green Party candidate.

"I think it's where I can do the most good," Gluck said. "I'm running for my grandkids and other people's grandkids."

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Green Party leaders responded to President Trump's 2018 State of the Union address on Tuesday, Jan. 30, with sharp criticism of his statements on energy in light of the climate crisis, plans for more nuclear weapons, health care, immigration, and other administration policies.
