Veteran Anti-War Activist Greg Stoker Running For Congress In Texas

Stoker called for a "new type of politics" that "starts with affordability for us and accountability for officials who sell out Texans to corporations and foreign interests, trying to get you to hate your neighbor while looting your tax money and misappropriating it."

Former US soldiers turned Palestine advocates make a run for Congress

Two former US soldiers who have become some of the most notable critics of Israel's genocide in Gaza have now launched campaigns for Congress ahead of November's midterm elections.

Former US Army Ranger in Afghanistan turned anti-war activist and podcast host, Greg Stoker, announced his bid for Texas's 31st District in an Instagram video on 15 January.

Something is happening in Maryland

ABOLISH ICE

The National Latinx Caucus of the Green Party United States mourns the deaths of Renée Nicole Good and Alex Pretti, both shot and killed by federal immigration agents during enforcement operations in Minneapolis this month. Good's death was ruled a homicide by the local medical examiner. These killings have triggered widespread protest and demand for accountability.

We also honor the lives of others who have been killed or detained under the authority of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and related federal enforcement actions. These include Keith Porter Jr., a father of two killed by an off-duty ICE agent in Los Angeles on New Year's Eve, and Silverio Villegas González, shot by an ICE agent in a Chicago suburb last year.

Statement from the Green Party of Michigan on the Murder of Alex Pretti

The Green Party of Michigan condemns the murder of Alex Pretti by federal agents in Minneapolis. This was the inevitable result of actively encouraging an unwelcome, militarized force to act with absolute immunity in our communities.

This is the third shooting by federal agents in Minnesota in less than three weeks. As long as ICE remains in neighborhoods where they are not welcome, the situation will continue to escalate.

ICE agents have just shot and killed a legal observer in Minneapolis. Our hearts go out to her family and the community she was protecting.

ICE has only brought chaos, fear, and now death to Minnesota, and they must leave immediately.

Ohio Green Party Calls for Abolishing ICE and Redirecting Resources to Climate Emergency Response

The Ohio Green Party is calling for the abolition of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and a fundamental reorientation of federal resources away from militarized immigration enforcement and toward climate resilience, disaster response, and community well‑being.

“Every dollar spent on ICE is a dollar not spent on disaster relief, flood protection, resilient food systems, and green infrastructure,” said Philena Farley, co‑chair for the Ohio Green Party. “In the face of an 85‑seconds‑to‑midnight world, the choice is stark. We can fund climate safety and human rights, or we can fund fear and repression. We cannot do both.”

Green-Rainbow Party Condemns US Attack on Venezuela and Abduction of President Maduro

The Massachusetts Green-Rainbow Party condemns the United States' unprovoked attack on Venezuela and its abduction of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.

This criminal escalation of US imperialism follows months of open murder of civilians and piracy in the Caribbean, decades of sanctions and regime change operations against Venezuela supported by both major parties, and centuries of violent US domination and interference in Latin America.

Pennsylvania Green Party taps Lancaster member for state leadership

A Lancaster County Green Party member has been elected to serve on the state party’s steering committee this year.

Tony Dastra, who ran unsuccessfully for Lancaster mayor and City Council last year, was selected by Green Party delegates to serve as an at-large committee member. Elizabethtown resident Timothy Runkle, who leads the county’s Green Party and is co-chair of the state party, said Dastra is key to growing support in more areas of the county.

Green Party Condemns Trump Attack On Venezuela

The Green Party condemns the kidnapping of the Venezuelan President and his wife and demands their immediate release. We strongly oppose this illegal act of war which violates both the US Constitution and international law. Congress needs to immediately commence impeachment proceedings against Trump.

The Party also harshly reacted to the assertion by Trump that the United States will now be running Venezuela for the near term and if he faces any local opposition, he will send in a second wave of American military forces to subdue the population.

Green Party of New Jersey Statement Condemning US Invasion of Venezuela

President Trump and his administration are but the latest in a long line of ruthless war criminals to engage in US imperialism. The crimes against Venezuela have been conducted by both Democrats and Republicans and particularly against Hugo Chavez in 2002, in a failed coup attempt.

This latest illegal intervention in a sovereign nation and kidnapping of its President is reprehensible. This will have lasting negative consequences on the safety and stability of the Americas as a whole.

Urgent: U.S. Military Attack on Venezuela

We are writing with urgency and deep concern about recent events unfolding in Venezuela, where the United States has escalated military action in a dramatic and dangerous way.

This attack is an egregious violation of human rights as well as US and international law. These developments mark an unprecedented escalation, the most significant intervention in Latin America since the 1989 invasion of Panama.

The Illinois Green Party 2026 Spring Convention will be held on Saturday February 7th, from 12 pm-4 pm. We can have officer elections and petitioning workshops.

The In-Person portion will be held at the J Elizabeth Madden Auditorium of Decatur Public Library at 130 N. Franklin St in Decatur, IL 62523. The Online portion is held over Zoom.
