These barbaric war crimes must end now
As the nightmare in Gaza enters its second year, the violence is spiraling out of control with the Netanyahu regime accelerating its ethnic cleansing of the people of Gaza.
Many of us have seen the traumatic images of innocents screaming in horror as they were being burned alive in the targeting of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. Among the victims was young medical student, Shaban Ahmade Al-Dalu, who had written these haunting words just days before his murder:
“I have never in my life seen anything more terrifying than the thought of a person’s death, their disappearance in a single moment, their sudden escape… And the impossibility of their return. The human mind, with all its vivid imagination and capacity for understanding and creation, stands helpless before this absence. Were it not for God’s mercy upon us, for our faith that this is His decree and our acceptance of it, we would surely lose our sanity.”

The Green Party Peace Action Committee presented a webinar on October 14, Indigenous People’s Day, on the topic of ethnic cleansing, relating the historical forced displacement of native Americans to the current sufferings of Palestinians. Speakers discussed the history and practices of past ethnic cleansing in the Americas and comparable contemporary activity in Palestine.

Electoral Reforms for an Inclusive Multi-Party Democracy
A 63% Gallup Poll majority wants a third major party. But the prevailing US single-member-district, winner-take-all election system produces an exclusionary two-party system. The Green Party will never become a third major party until we have fair ballot access, ranked choice voting for executive offices, and proportional representation in legislative bodies. These reforms will eliminate the spoiler problem and give the Green Party its fair share of representation and power that is proportional to its voter support.
