Many of you probably have never seen or heard of a TV show called Flipper. I’m sure that there are probably clips of the show on YouTube if you’re interested in checking it out. This program aired back in the sixties and unfortunately was a huge hit for the three seasons it was on. Basically, it’s Lassie except with a porpoise instead. The unfortunate part was that the audience couldn’t get enough of these three trained porpoises’ that played Flipper in the show. Aquariums throughout the world soon wanted and acquired porpoises, dolphins and smaller whales as attractions. These animals proved to be extremely smart and could learn any number of tricks that would astound an eager public to spend their hard-earned money to see them perform.


PA Greens File Nomination Petitions to Put Fracking, Healthcare, More on the Ballot

On Monday, August 1, the Green Party of Pennsylvania (GPPA, https://www.gpofpa.org/) filed more than 500 petitions containing thousands of signatures from registered voters from across the state to qualify five candidates for ballot access in the November 2022 general e
lection. This will put critical issues like fracking, climate change, healthcare, criminal justice modernization, corruption in government, and voting reforms on the ballot, giving voters a starkly different political vision than offered by Republicans and Democrats.

Despite a series of voter purges and the state’s population in decline over the past several years, Mountain Party membership totals are up.


Some Takeaways from the June 2022 CA Primary

The recent June 7 California primary was an important one for the Green Party of California. We were in danger of losing our ballot status if we didn’t get a 2% or greater share in at least one statewide race. Fortunately we were successful in crossing this threshold in several races. Here are some of the lessons we learned.
