Candidate Filings

The Green Party of Texas (GPTX) congratulates Delilah Barrios for Governor & Hunter Crow for Texas Railroad Commissioner for completing the candidate application process for the 2022 Green nomination, including payment of filing fees to TX SOS. GPTX also received an application from Alfred Molison for Land Commissioner, in principle protest of money as a barrier to political participation. We thank all our candidates for standing as Greens in 2022, and encourage Texas Greens to connect with and support their campaigns.

SAN FRANCISCO – As the Green Party of California welcomes the end-of-year holidays and reflect on the past year we also gaze at the coming year ... some of us with open arms, relief, or enthusiasm and others with caution and concern. ALL of us hope for a better year and a more fair, healthy, secure, equitable, accessible, and a just life for ourselves and our communities.

COP-Out 26 and Environmental Survival

After 6 years of wrestling with the Paris Agreement to reduce fossil fuel consumption and in other ways stem the decline of life on Mother Earth, President Biden and his fellow leaders must again address the failure of major polluting nations to stem their toxic emissions.  The Green-Rainbow Party has joined with other environmental activists to condemn the high-sounding rhetoric and the absence of real actions.

Become a Rising Star in the Green Party

by Co-chair Beth Scroggin, Green Party of PA

October marked five years since I joined the Green Party. After having worked on the Bernie Sanders campaign for nearly a year and seeing my efforts undermined by the Democratic Party, I knew that I needed to invest my future efforts into a party that represented my values AND had the courage and integrity to support grassroots efforts. My involvement with the Green Party escalated quickly after the Green Party of Pennsylvania (GPPA, www.gpofpa.org) leaders informed me that my county had no local chapter. Shortly thereafter, I became the co-founder and co-chair of the Chester County Green Party. . . .

Green Party endorsed candidate for Minneapolis City Council Kati Medford is running a great campaign. On Sunday she sat down with the Trahern Crews show on 94.1 FM Frogtown Tuned In Radio to talk about it.

Running for Election as a Green Party Candidate

by GPPA Co-chair Beth Scroggin, Green Party of Pennsylvania

Welcome to October, a month when our Pennsylvania fall foliage can astound us with its beauty, and when our Green Party electoral campaigns are in full swing! The Green Party of Pennsylvania (GPPA) is proud to be running ten candidates in local elections and is eagerly anticipating running a full slate of candidates for state-wide positions next year. My fondest memories of my work in the Green Party are from when I have worked for local campaigns: collecting nomination signatures, introducing candidates to potential voters at fall festivals, and knocking on doors to hand out literature and talk to voters about their concerns. . . .

  • The 20th Annual Convention of the Green-Rainbow Party, September 25, 2021

SOUTH DEERFIELD, MA – The need for people-powered Green politics is more critical than ever! A quick summation of our inspiring “Zoom” day spent together

Backed up by a superb tech team and convention planning committee, the virtual convention started on time--with no glitches -- with gracious greetings to attendees from our 2020-2021 co-chairs. Lois Gagnon and Maha Vishnu Gray. They greeted us with a review of past years' accomplishments as well as inspiring us to build going forward. They reminded us of the critical importance of having a political party that owes its efforts to the people, not to corporate financial interests. Their efforts over this past year are greatly appreciated.
