While the Green Party won't be selecting our presidential nominee until July of 2020, the race for the 2020 Green Party presidential nomination has already begun. The Presidential Campaign Support Committee has published the documentation for those seeking our nomination. The PCSC also maintains a document listing those seeking our nomination.
At this point in the nomination process, the following candidates have met basic criteria for official recognition by the Green Party of the United States. They are Howie Hawkins, Dario Hunter and David Rolde.
The national Green Party is committed to maintaining a neutral stance towards those seeking our nomination. The individual campaigns are responsible for supplying the material that appears below and a posting does not imply endorsement or approval of the content by any Green Party entity.

US auto workers have shut down General Motors. I support the strike of 48,000 General Motors workers who walked out at midnight Sunday evening. The shutdown of 35 manufacturing facilities in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee, Kansas, Texas and New York will cost GM as much as $400 million in lost production each day.
GM is demanding big concessions: more worker payments for health care, a raise below the rate of inflation, and no change to the union- and solidarity-destroying system of tiers that allows the company to hire second-class workers as lower-paid temps with no contract rights.

We filed paperwork with the Green Party of the United States and got recognition as a candidate in May of 2018.
We sent in the questionnaire to the Green Party Presidential Campaign Support Committee in July and got an acknowledgement of receipt.

Today I signed the Sunrise Movement's No Fossil Fuel Money pledge.
The pledge reads: "I pledge to not take contributions from the oil, gas, and coal industry and instead prioritize the health of our families, climate, and democracy over fossil fuel industry profits."
The Sunrise Movement explains: "Taking the pledge means that a candidate's campaign will adopt a policy to not knowingly accept any contributions over $200 from the PACs, executives, or front groups of fossil fuel companies — companies whose primary business is the extraction, processing, distribution, or sale of oil, gas, or coal. We will provide a list of these companies upon request."

One of the Green Party's 10 Key Values is Social Justice and Equal Opportunity. As the White House is working to allow employers to terminate workers for sexual orientation and gender identity, Dennis Lambert and other Greens participated in Toledo Pride this past weekend.
Gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, and immigration status have no impact on job performance and discrimination does not help the job market or the economy and it does not make America great.

Howie Hawkins, who is seeking the Green Party presidential nomination, today urged the next president to declare a Climate Emergency on the first day in office.
Hawkins pointed out: "By declaring the climate crisis a national emergency, the president is empowered by existing laws to address the climate crisis without congressional approval. Congressional, presidential, Pentagon and intelligence reports and policy documents have identified climate change as a national security threat since 1990. It is time for immediate action to confront climate chaos."

Representation is not reparations. Simply because Barack Obama was President of the United States, it does not mean that racism is over. Repeating this lie is like telling someone to quit playing the Powerball after someone else in their state won. The ignorance of the elected officials and citizens who repeat this idea are representative of the systemic racism in America that still exists despite legislation to reverse the prejudice of our governments. We cannot be a democratic society where prejudice is allowed to silently control the freedom and liberty of a portion of our population simply because of the color of their skin.

One stop that sticks out from my first campaign barnstorm through the South and Midwest was a 2 am stop on June 5 at a Waffle House in Kimball, TN, west of Chattanooga on the way to Nashville. We were on the longest leg of the trip. We had to get from an evening speaking event in Athens, GA to a 4 pm event the next day in St. Louis, MO. So we stopped at a Waffle House for food, about the only place open at that hour along Interstate 24.

By Dennis Lambert - Democrats were holding their collective breaths for the Mueller Report to be completed and submitted since the appointment of the Special Council anticipating that President Trump would be charged with anything (No collusion!) and everything their wildest dreams permitted. Despite the obvious evidence of obstruction of justice by the President and those he has appointed, there is still no accountability for those crimes.
