The Green Party of Colorado stands with the sovereign people of Venezuela

The Green Party of Colorado (GPCO) strongly condemns today’s attempted coup in Venezuela by the US government-backed, right-wing terrorist group led by Juan Guaidó. The Venezuelan government and military have exhibited great restraint in dealing with these elements, which have been responsible for destroying medical clinics and setting pro-Chavista Afro-Venezuelans on fire in the streets. Gentrification in New York City

Gentrification is not something that is beneficial to long standing community members and the cultural make-up of our communities. Gentrification has been sold to many of us as a way for things to improve, but things should have been improved without the targeted displacement of our Black and Brown communities. Gentrification is a tool of displacement, greed and an extended arm of systemic racism. It does not create diversity. Our communities are and have always had diversity. Continue reading

Do you want to host our 2020 Presidential Nominating Convention?

The Annual National Meeting Committee (ANM) is now accepting Letters of Interest (LOI) for hosting locations for the 2020 Presidential Nominating Convention through May 12, 2019. Submitting a LOI does not obligate you to submit a proposal. Likewise, you do not have to send an LOI to submit a proposal by the deadline. It simply means you are interested in getting more information about hosting and the application process. The suggested (ideal) dates for the 2020 ANM/PNC are June 18-21 or June 25-28. We hope that all applicants will be able to exhibit and possibly have a very short presentation at the Annual National Meeting in Salem. The final location will be chosen by the National Committee in August.  Continue reading
