With a new report by Dr. James Hansen showing that global warming is accelerating faster than scientists had predicted, the Green Party condemned Donald Trump’s efforts to kill any action to slow climate change and calls on Congress and states to do that same. In his first two weeks back in the White House, Trump repudiated the Paris Climate accords, appointed climate deniers and fossil fuel interests to run the nation’s environmental and energy programs, gave a green light to expand greenhouse gas emissions, and blocked funding for renewable energy.
