Green Party of Ohio issues statement of support for Stein recount effort
The Green Party of Ohio stands in support of the recount effort that was initiated by Dr. Jill Stein, 2016 Green Party presidential candidate.
It is our firm belief that the reason over 41% of registered voters did not bother to cast a ballot in the latest election, is partially due to distrust of a system that has failed them.

"Death" of Trans-Pacific Partnership Declared a Victory for People Power
WASHINGTON, DC – Activists celebrated the announcement from Congressional leaders that the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a highly unpopular corporate trade agreement, would not be acted upon by legislators during the lame-duck session of Congress. Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell said the Senate would not act upon it, and House Speaker Paul Ryan admitted they did not have the votes for the deal to pass in the House.
The public 'death' of the TPP, while touted by president-elect Donald Trump, is actually the culmination of a 5-year grassroots campaign to resist the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a trade deal with broad impacts whose secretive negotiation process was questioned from the start. Hillary Clinton, one of the "leading drivers" of the negotiations as Secretary of State, pushed the TPP 45 times in Congress before opposing it as a candidate in the 2016 presidential election.

Stein/Baraka Campaign Calls for Immediate Resistance to Trump and the Failed Two-Party System
The Stein/Baraka campaign calls for sustained and organized resistance to president-elect Donald Trump and the rise of right-wing extremism in the United States. They expressed their solidarity and empathy with those who are traumatized by the election results, and called for an honest and sober reckoning of the collusion between the political establishment and corporate media that led to Donald Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton.
"A New York Times poll reveals that 82% of Americans are literally ‘disgusted’ by this election," said Dr. Jill Stein, Green Party presidential candidate. “This election is a reaction to what voters see as a toxic and corrupt political establishment and represents a wholesale rejection of it. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) sabotaged Bernie Sanders, who by all accounts would have easily trounced Donald Trump. Because of Wikileaks, we also know that the DNC actively colluded with corporate media to elevate Donald Trump as a ‘Pied Piper Candidate’ to encourage the most extreme elements of the Republican party,” she said.

Jill Stein Files FEC Complaint Against Trump, Clinton for Illegal Super PAC Coordination
Today, Monday November 7th, Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein filed a complaint at the Federal Election Commission in Washington, DC, against both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton for illegal coordination with their Super PACs.
Under current FEC regulations, Super PACs, known technically as "independent expenditure-only committees" and colloquially as "dark-money groups," may raise unlimited sums of money from corporations, unions, and individuals, but are not permitted to contribute to or coordinate directly with parties or candidates. Such coordination would be functionally equivalent to an in-kind donation to the campaign from these dark-money groups.
