A culture of death permeates Missouri’s history of racial terror lynchings and modern-day application of the death penalty. A model municipal program in Ward 22 of St. Louis encourages communities to police themselves and reduce violence by training participants how to use deescalation tactics when intervening in confrontations. The colonial mode of production forms a violent parasitic relationship between Europeans vs. African people and other oppressed masses.   The year 2023 didn't wait too long to make its remarkable presence known as January has brought unprecedented rains and storms roaring through California. The Atmospheric river and subsequent wind, storms, floods, and mud slides have killed at least 19 people and left tens of thousands under evacuation orders and storm watches. Heavy rainfall in downtown San Francisco flooded all of Highway 101's six lanes, and just last week in Sacramento, deluge of rains with 70-mile an hour winds knocked out power for over 345,000 people. Supporting multi-party democracy in California In a nation with a political climate centered around a two-party system since its inception, debate and discourse is consistently raised about effective ways to reform voting so that people of our country can vote according to their values rather than vote for one of the two evils. The dominant corporate parties suppress third parties like the Greens and silence voter’s voices disenfranchising more and more people from engaging in electoral politics because they are frustrated with the lack of choice and representation.
