A dialogue on Anti-Racism

ROCHESTER, NY – Join the Green Party of Monroe County for our monthly meeting. Our speaker will be a spokesperson from the Take It Down Coalition who will lead us in a discussion on a specific Anti-Racism approach which seeks to pursue the fundamental nature of racism and how we can both identify it within ourselves and our society then in turn work to eliminate it. This approach rejects the usual commercialized approach that replaces a process that is real and addresses the internalized roots of racism. We will also discuss the possibilities of using such an approach in our education system. The Latinx Caucus of the Green Party of the United States stands in solidarity with Amazon workers

The Latinx Caucus of the Green Party of the US stands in solidarity with Amazon workers seeking to unionize. It is indefensible that the largest retail company, owned by the richest man in the world, should deny its workers fair wages and a humane work environment. Amazon and companies like it will have a significant impact on how workers are treated in the cyber commerce of the future. Taking a stand now, to support workers as they demand fair and humane treatment and a living wage, will move us closer to setting a universal standard of human rights for workers. Continue reading

Green Party of New York calls for impeachment of Gov. Andrew Cuomo

ALBANY, NY - The Green Party of New York today called for the impeachment of Gov. Andrew Cuomo after shocking revelations that his administration purposefully lied to the public for political purposes about the level of deaths in nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Party officials said this information coupled with the initial orders by the governor that forced nursing homes to admit over 9,000 recovering coronavirus patients and led to over 15,000 deaths in those facilities is enough to warrant an impeachment and trial of the governor. Support a Washington state public bank!

Support a Washington state public bank — Leave a comment in support of Senate Bill 5188 today! Presently all of the revenue of our state, local and tribal governments is deposited with private-sector banks. All of the financing that our various governments obtain is issued by those same banks. PA Greens tracking down new candidates

PHILADELPHIA – "Unfortunately, our Commonwealth's General Assembly in Harrisburg, PA, has become stuck in a rut," complained newly-elected Co-Chair Beth Scroggin (Chester) of the Green Party of Pennsylvania (GPPA,). "Politicians from the two corporate parties have been ignoring the wishes of PA voters because they are enthralled by industry's lobbyists. The people want universal healthcare, but Harrisburg listens to for-profit medicine; the people want an end to fracking, but Harrisburg is hungry for fossil-fuel money; the people want government reform and fair redistricting, but Harrisburg takes care of its own."
