We won't get (fossil) fooled again

Among the dire consequences erupting from the conflict in Ukraine, the austerity and insecurity resulting from the disruption of fossil fuel sources is a reminder of how foolish we are to remain addicted to oil, gas and other forms of dirty energy. It brings an even greater sense of urgency to this year's Earth Day to May Dayorganizing, which you can support today with a generous contribution to the Green Party. The Green Party's plan for re-routing military spending into an Eco-Socialist Green New Deal would benefit the 99% in our country while signaling a commitment to peace and climate justice to the rest of the world. Sustainer Saturday – Tommie James

Happy Saturday! Today I'm excited to share with you the story of Green Party Monthly Sustainer Tommie James. Tommie is an experienced Green organizer and campaigner with a lot to say about why supporting the Green Party is important to her! I have worked in many areas of life, including as an advertising and fine artist, a legal secretary and several jobs in the aviation industry. When I retired due to a disability at 41, I was enjoying a decade-long career as an airport consultant assisting with planning, contracting and FAA non-operations compliance. Continue reading

These Greens are back on the ballot — can you help others?

Great news! This summer, Arkansas Greens achieved ballot access for the 2024 Green Party Presidential Ballot line. In states like New Mexico, Kansas, Nevada and North Carolina, brave Green volunteers are out petitioning — but we face an uphill battle: Continue reading

Workers *and* the World, unite!

For Labor Day, we're thinking about the necessity of the "Just Transition". A Just Transition means doing everything we can to take human civilization 100% fossil-free by 2030, but doing so in a way that does not devastate everyday people whose livelihoods currently depend on a fossil fuel economy they did not choose. A Green Inauguration Day

Imagine with us for a moment: It's January 20th, in a year not too far away. Inauguration Day. A Green Party President-Elect is about to take the oath of office. Continue reading

The Capitol Riot Was a Preview of Trumpism After Trump

Yesterday's riot in the Capitol, instigated by Donald Trump and his enablers in politics and the corporate media, is a disgrace on many levels. That these flag-waving, white supremacist thugs were allowed to escalate the situation so far is yet another insult to Black, Brown and Indigenous People who have been brutalized or killed by police while exercising their right to truly peaceful protest — or even while just driving, walking or being present in their  Continue reading
