Covid-19 leads to cancellation of state convention

Upated State Meeting Information The Green Party of Pennsylvania (GPPA) is canceling our March 21-22 Harrisburg Convention. As a measure of caution and to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Steering Committee of the GPPA has decided social distancing measures are appropriate at this time. Several communities, public services, and business are taking these actions that are expected to lessen the effects of COVID-19. We know that our organizing efforts are increasing over the next several months and that by pumping the breaks today we can aid in ensuring COVID-19 is diminished effectively and as quickly as possible. 2020 Texas Precinct Conventions

HOUSTON – All precinct conventions for the various counties with Green Party of Texas affiliate chapters will take place Tuesday, March 10, 2020. Check the list below for the venue in your county. Conventions are scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. The 10th, one week after primary election day, is the date that the Texas Electoral Code establishes for non-primary parties such as the Green and Libertarian Parties. Updates on Our Spring Conference, February 29

CHICAGO – As previously announced, the Illinois Green Party's 2020 Spring Convention and membership meeting will take place on Saturday, February 29, 2020, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Third Unitarian Church, 301 N. Mayfield, Chicago, Illinois. The meeting will be followed by a social hour from 5:00-6:00 pm, and a presidential forum, featuring recognized Green Party candidates for president of the United States, at 6:00 p.m. The forum will feature Green Party US recognized candidates Howie Hawkins, Dario Hunter, and David Rolde. Salt Lake County Mayoral Candidate: Repeal the Inland Port

SALT LAKE CITY – Green Party Candidate for Salt Lake County Mayor Michael Cundick appealed to members of the Economic Development Committee this week to reconsider their impending votes on HB347 in a crowded room of others who passionately requested that the bill end in Committee.
