Fund the Government, Defend Migrants, No Trump Wall

The Green-Rainbow Party of Massachusetts calls for collective non-violent resistance at this critical time to prevent the deaths of more children at the US-Mexico border, stop funding for Trump’s border wall, and put our government back to work. Two children have died this month in the custody of CBP (Customs and Border Protection) at the US-Mexico border. Felipe Gómez Alonzo, age 8, and Jakelin Caal Maquín, age 7, were traveling with their fathers from Guatemala when they reached the border to request asylum.  Continue reading

MLK Birthday Celebration

St. Louis – Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. told us that "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." Today, the social disease of racism is not confined to anti-immigrant hatred in the US. It has infected country after country in Europe. Hostility toward indigenous people is spreading through Latin America. Even India is witnessing anti-dalit and anti-adivasi hatred. Let us not forget the African diaspora and modern antipathy toward Africa. How can we rebuff this depravity and build a world for all? Continue reading

Green Party of Louisiana announces it's 2019 convention

The New Orleans chapter of the Green Party of Louisiana is making a good-faith initiative to host a state convention on the 26th of January, 2019, at Loyola University, 114 Miller Hall, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. City Council Candidate Sutliff-Atias Calls for Legislation to Stop Corruption in City Government

(Rochester, NY) -- Announced candidate for Rochester City Council, Dave Sutliff-Atias, posted on his website a proposal for legislation that would tie campaign contributions to the ability to do business with the City of Rochester. "At least two current elected officials in city government are being investigated by the Federal government," says Sutliff-Atias. "But there has always been the perception that business as usual at City Hall includes pay-to-play agreements between rich developers and elected officials. Banking & Monetary Reform Committee forms

The Green Party has approved the mission statement for a new standing committee, the Banking and Monetary Reform Committee (BMRC).We are inviting state parties and caucuses to appoint new members to the committee. Members from at least 5 states or caucuses are required for the committee to be recognized formally as a standing committee. Continue reading

December News from Monroe County, NY

Usually the Green Party of Monroe County has its monthly meeting on the second Thursday of each month.  For this month we are bumping that a week to Thursday, December 20th.  Why?  So we can get together to watch the latest Michael Moore movie, Fahrenheit 11/9! Join us to watch Fahrenheit 11/9 on the 20th at 7:00 pm at the Flying Squirrel Community Space, 285 Clarissa Street.  It’s free, wheelchair accessible, and of course the captioning will be on.
