WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Korean Greens and the Green Party of the United States published a joint statement on Monday, Sept. 19 against deployment of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) in South Korea. The statement follows below. THAAD is a U.S. Armed Forces anti-ballistic missile system designed to shoot down short, medium, and intermediate range ballistic missiles. Green Party urges widespread protest by voters against decision by the Commission on Presidential Debates to bar alternative-party nominees

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Green Party leaders are urging voters across the U.S. to express their anger in response to an announcement from the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) on Friday that alternative-party candidates would be barred from the debates. "Voters deserve the right to know about all the candidates who'll be on the ballot on Election Day. The CPD has violated that right by rigging the debates. The oil pipeline poses a serious danger to local drinking water -- it was moved away from Bismarck for this very reason. It desecrates Lakota burial ground on land seized from the tribe. WASHINGTON, D.C. -- At approximately 3:30 p.m. CT on Aug. 6 during the Green Party's 2016 national convention, Greens chose Jill Stein and running mate Ajamu Baraka to be the party's presidential and vice-presidential nominees. Victories for McKinney, Nader in four Green primaries on Super Tuesday

Results by state for Green primaries in Arkansas, California, and Illinois; Massachusetts results forthcoming Widespread voting irregularities hinder Greens in Illinois WASHINGTON, DC -- Results from the four states where Green Parties participated in the February 5 Super Tuesday primaries show a landslide for Ralph Nader in California (61%) and a lead among candidates for Cynthia McKinney in Arkansas and Illinois. The office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, responding to an inquiry, said that his state doesn't post unofficial results, and will not announce the numbers until absentee and overseas ballots are counted.
