Attacks on unions undermine living standards of all working people. For over five decades, neoliberal policies have caused public services austerity and job cuts. The assault has targeted educators, bus drivers, sanitation workers, healthcare workers and city employees. Underprivileged communities are hit hardest. We must win good union jobs for all, especially by defending, strengthening and expanding the public Postal Service from a congressionally-manufactured crisis and efforts to dismantle and privatize it. Each election our Green candidates face the challenge of our uphill battle against the two-party controlled ballot. This means we have to fight even the white-out they use in their attempt to wipe away our progress. The Elkhart County Election office has been busy changing the signature sheets being submitted by Marshall Travis, our candidate for Indiana House District 48. We counted 15 signatures that were changed to not valid after they had been certified as valid. Our democracy is being undermined with the single stroke of a correction pen wielded at the Elkhart County Election office.  Continue reading
