2018 Election Kickoff in Massachusetts

In the next week, three outstanding Green-Rainbow candidates for state office are kicking off their campaigns to change Beacon Hill. They are giving Massachusetts voters a chance to vote for integrity over big money corruption, justice over exploitation, democracy over insider-politics, peace over war, and economic justice over exploitation. Black & Green Wednesday May 2, 2018: Rescuing Our Food from the Dark Agenda of Agribusiness As Monsanto and Bayer move closer to a merger the threat to agriculture locally and internationally expands. Dangers loom large: poisoning of agricultural and residential areas, loss of seed and plant diversity, soil and water contamination and depletion, loss of pollinators, cancer risks and more. The new pesticide Dicamba promises to be worse than Roundup. The end result could well be environmental devastation and an inability to feed ourselves. Justice & Liberation in Palestine featuring Mazin Qumsiyeh

The third call in the Green Party Call Series on Justice in Liberation & Justice for Palestine will feature guest Mazin Qumsiyeh. Professor Qumsiyeh will speak on the topic of the interconnection ecology, environment, health and human rights. Professor Mazin Qumsiyeh teaches and does research at Bethlehem and Birzeit Universities. He is director of the main clinical cytogenetics laboratory and founder and director of the Palestine Museum of Natural History and Institute for Biodiversity Research at Bethlehem University in occupied Palestine.  Continue reading

Anti-War Actions

Greens participated in anti-war actions around the country on Saturday, April 14th.  In Oakland, The Green Party of Alameda County, as well as Greens from surrounding counties, marched from Lake Merritt to Oakland City Hall (aka Oscar Grant Plaza) on Sunday with beautiful banners & signs. They also tabled at the rally with a canopy, on top of which were attached banners for greater visibility.  Continue reading

Platform, Constitution Revision Process Under Way

The Green Party of Minnesota Platform can be revised every even-numbered year. The party’s Constitution can be amended each year. At the summer membership meeting on June 23, 2018, members will have the opportunity to decide on proposed changes to the Platform and the Constitution. Revision proposals for both documents will be accepted through May 8. Continue reading
